London-based digital imaging team brought technical vision to life for Russia and Qatar

3rd December 2010 - Digital imaging company Crystal CG International today celebrates a double success for its creative team. The company was instrumental in producing the 3D animation that supported Russia and Qatar's successful bids for the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and 2022. For both projects, the countries called on Crystal CG's expertise in sport animation, creative direction, 3D modelling and animating techniques to effectively depict the incredible environments and architecture of the football stadia in both Russia and Qatar.
Crystal CG's work in producing ‘fly-through' tours helped to communicate the scale, design and vision of these stadia – 16 in Russia and 3 in Qatar – which will now be built to welcome footballers and fans from across the globe for one of the world's most loved sporting competition.
The three minute animation that accompanied Russia's world cup bid can be viewed here. Images of the three main Qatari stadia can be viewed here.
